In the UK the roads are pretty safe with decreasing deaths and injuries but I saw a report recently that there has been an upswing recently. Reasons suggested are less enforcement partly due to fewer traffic police. 

 

I don't know what the reasons are in the US but anything that can make roads safer is a good thing.

    On my recent trip to the US after 2 yrs away I noticed an increase in factory high performance cars roaring around.
