Daily News caption: "He wants to sleep in the traffic"

Thai netizens had a comment-fest after pictures of a motorcyclist in an orange jacket lying down on his bike were posted on Facebook.

While Daily News said he was showing his skill most posters said showing his stupidity, more like.

The poster said, with a slathering of delicious irony, that it was good that he was wearing a helmet - it'll be useful for easily gathering his brains when he has an accident.

Always assuming, notes ASEAN NOW, that his brains were in his head and not his toes that were somewhere nearer the handlebars!

One poster suggested he was just trying to sleep, give him a break, while another said it would all end in a "big wai" and be noted that he was "the main breadwinner of the family" who "love him dearly".

Thai netizens would give ASEAN NOW posters a run for their money it seems!

Others just thought that the police should act fast and book him as an example to other idiots.

Daily News found out from the poster that the incident happened on the Saraburi - Lomsak road in Phetchaburi province in the north east of Thailand.

At least he is wearing an orange jacket and a helmet.

Fed-up with all those grab and other food delivery drivers, checking their phones whilst pulling in, in front of you.

That’s nothing. Many moons ago, went past a chilled longhaired farang on a 250 scrambler with his feet over the handlebars laying back while doing around 100kmh. Sticky throttle. ????

I used to adjust the choke on my Honda 900cc and stand on the seat.  No helmet ... and I'm still alive.

Made it to 67 ... mind boggling ????

"Phetchaburi Province is in the south"

Most list the southern region provinces as starting with Chumphon.

Phetchaburi usually gets thrown in with 'western' or 'central' Thailand, as does PKK.

I wonder if that province is an evil twin of the Phetchaburi province south of Bangkok on the Gulf and north of Huahin.
