Is it possible to put 2 VCD (movies - data files) onto 1 DVD? Does it require special software? I have many programs but none seem to be able to do this. Any ideas?

Thanks Dave but the files on most VCD movies are DAT files...not AVI (AVI files cannot be read by a home DVD player). So unfortunately, Virtual Dub can't help me.

I have done this before using a program called TMPGE DVD Author.

Try nero vision. It will convert the files and then burn them.

copy both files to the same location or folder on your hdd. rename the first say "part1.mpg" then copy the second file and rename it "part2.mpg"

open a dos prompt and navigate to the location

type: copy part1.mpg+part2.mpg complete.mpg

the final file should be both of the vcd's joined into one movie file. then use your favourite dvd authoring sortware to convert and burn.

edit: you may need a space between the filenames and the "+" symbol - i forgot...
