Girl Gang Raped By Over Ten Friends In Two Minivans

correct

Recommended Posts

A 16 year old girl was forced into a minivan and raped. Then she was taken to a second van and raped again. When she pretended to go to the toilet, she managed to escape. A Good Samaritan took her to the police to report the vicious attack.

On the 10th June 2007, at 12:30 AM, Pol.Lt. Noppadol Garuna, Banglamug, Chonburi, was on duty at the police station when a villager brought Miss Gaew (alias), a 16 year old student from a school in Bangkok, who was in an extremely distressed condition. Her hair was messy and she could barely walk. Her pants were covered with blood. She explained that she was forced into a minivan and raped. She escaped from the evil gang and ran for help near Wat Ton Gra Rok, Baan Ta Kien Tia, Banglamung, Chonburi.

Miss Gaew told the police that on the 9th June 2007, at 11 PM, she left her apartment in Yaowarat ( China Town), Bangkok to go to a nearby convenience store. Suddenly, two white minivans, with dark film on the windows, stopped in front of her. She was unable to recall the type of van or license numbers. Three men, wearing caps to hide their faces, jumped out of one of the vans and forced her into it. She overheard one of them saying that if she resisted, they would traffic her in Malaysia. She was extremely frightened.

She said that there were more than ten men in the van. The two vans were driving out of Bangkok, but she did not know where because the windows were covered with curtains, preventing her from seeing out. After thirty minutes, the men forced her down against the seat. They stripped her naked and the men took turns raping her. She begged them to stop, but to no avail. She was slapped and forced into a second van, where she was raped by an additional four to five men. She noticed that there were, additionally, four or five girls in the second van. She thought that they were raped, as well.

Miss Gaew said, by that time, it was almost dawn and the gang had gone to sleep. She pretended that she needed to use the toilet and asked the driver to stop at the side of the road. She went into the bush and ran for her life. The gang noticed that she was escaping and attempted to follow her. She ran as fast as she could. After she ran about two hundred meters, the gang gave up, went back to the van and sped away. She walked, with difficulty, until she met a local woman resident and asked the lady to take her to the police station.

Pol.Col. Nopadol Sorasamran, Banglamung Superintendent explained to the young woman that the police in every district were working to apprehend the evil men who committed this dastardly deed. Currently, the police have few clues as Miss Gaew was still in the shock from the brutal attack. However, the police are working with the Bangkok police to examine the scene where the gang forced Miss Gaew into the van. The police will question Miss Gaew further to obtain more assistance in solving this crime when she has recovered, somewhat, from her ordeal She was taken to the hospital for a medical examination.

Shocking news. I truly hope that these evil bastards are caught. Intercourse should be a giving and receiving of pleasure not what those people did to her.

I hope that there is some counselling available to the young woman whose life they have probably just wrecked - and what about the other girls in the van?

I am really sad now.

Who's is in trouble now ? Thai people? Thai Govt.?

Most of Thais are illiterate (not all.with respect) and come from countryside (another "life" compared to BKK i.ex.).

The wild lifesyle mixed to "trash" communication come from Thai-TV make their lifes worth is nothing.

Responsibility come from....... !?

In my opinion the most important TRAINING - TOOLS come from

1) GOVT. that "make thais more hungry" and more "illiterate"

2)Local TV that suggests only useless programs and invite to be MATERIALIST . Nothing usefull.

3)MassMedia (Press). that writes for 95% bullshits (!)

Thailand must fight against itself.

Sad story.

True.

Education about rights and violation of rights should be presented in some form to have people understand the devistating effects and consequences of violent actions.

I do think that these men MUST know that what they were doing was wrong, but maybe if they were to be given proper knowledge of the effects it may (well miracles can happen =/) cause them to develop a conscience and hopefully kill the urge.

Girl, 16, 'lied about rape'

A 16-year-old girl who claimed to have been abducted on Saturday night and raped by at least 10 men made up the story to cover up her involvement with a drug gang, according to an investigation by police. Spokesman Pol Lt-Gen Ronnarong Yangyuen said the investigation concluded the victim was close to a Cambodian man, one of the gang members........

Yes, but she was still raped, apparently. Just not by 10 men, but by two instead.

Acquaintance rape is still rape, even if one puts oneself at risk by hanging out with drug dealers.

PATTAYA POLICE PESSIMISTIC ABOUT CASE OF GANG- RAPED 16 YEAR OLD GIRL

The police investigation of the gang rape of a sixteen year old girl has run into difficulty. The girl said that she was raped by a gang of men from two minivans, but there was no semen in her vagina. Police declared that some of the men in the gang were foreigners.

Miss Gaew (alias), the 16 year-old girl said she was gang raped by a large number of men in two minivans coming from Bangkok to Pattaya. She also, allegedly, saw four to five other girls in one of the vans. Miss Gaew escaped by pretending that she needed to go to the toilet and ran away.

On 11 June 2007, at 11 AM, reporters met with Pol.Col.Nopadol Sorasamran, Banglamung Superintendent, Chonburi. Pol.Col.Nopadol declared that the physical examination of Miss Gaew revealed a two mm. tear in her vagina. There was also some dry blood, but no semen. A more thorough examination will not be able to be done for two weeks.

During the first interview, Miss Gaew appeared to be quite confused, but basically said that in the middle of the night on 9 June 2007, she left her apartment to go the convenience store to buy some water. A powder, of unknown composition, was tossed at her face to blur her vision. She was then carried up to a minivan. Police did not find her story completely credible. Additionally, the girl said that she is studying at high school level but is actually in third grade. She also helps her mother who sells bean sprouts in a local market. Police are working with other relevant departments to thoroughly investigate this incident.

Police declared they have identified about four of the gang members and a few of them are foreigners. Police also took Miss Gaew and her mother to show them the location of the incident and the place where she was able to escape; and to ascertain their route from Bangkok to Pattaya. Hopefully, the police will be able to arrest the whole gang of criminals soon.

Reporter: The investigation of Miss Gaew is very unclear. A TV channel reported that one of the men from the two minivans was her boyfriend. So, it is not clear what actually happened. The girl claimed that she was raped by more than 10 men, but there were no traces of semen. The police said that there were foreigners in the gang. There were also, reportedly four or five other girls in one of the minivans. They were going from Bangkok to Pattaya.

Could it be human trafficking?

Could it be drug trafficking?

The whole affair is quite upsetting.

Further information will be reported immediately.

I'm not quarreling with your point of view SBK , rape is a crime under any circumstance.

However.

I was fairly outraged by the original story. Innocent girl gets abducted on her way to the store and then gang raped.

Then comes the second story. She was part of a gang of drug dealers but still maintains she was raped.

I think I'll save my outrage and compassion for the real story. Maybe neither will be necessary.

Police baffled as teen 'rape victim' changes story

A police investigation into a gang-rape complaint filed by a 16-year-old girl has hit a major stumbling block after she repeatedly changed her statement.

"We have to wait until she's ready to testify coherently. We have to hear from her exactly who the culprits are. But at this point investigators are unable to get this information from her," General Sombat Milinjinda of the Metropolitan Police Division VI said yesterday.

The girl is now under the care of the Social Development and Welfare Department, he said.

"For the time being, we will gather circumstantial evidence and question witnesses," he said.

Police say the girl repeatedly changed her story of what happened to her on the night of June 9 since filing her complaint on Sunday. She first said she was abducted and gang-raped. Later, she said her Cambodian boyfriend picked her up for a Pattaya trip but he and his friends gang-raped her. In her latest statement, she said she was selling sex services in a van but was forced to leave the vehicle after she refused to agree to a customer's request for perverted sex.

"When she feels ready, we will question her again," Sombat said.

Thanawadee Thajeen, director of the Friends of Women Foundation, said her social workers found the girl feeling very upset, dazed and drowsy and it was unclear whether "this comes from drug abuse or trauma".

She said mental problems and fear could have led the girl to give confusing statements and "the huge media coverage can only make her feel worse".

The girl would be ready to tell the truth if she was kept away from the press and underwent mental rehabilitation for a week, she said.

"When the girl is ready to speak, please assign female investigators," Thanawadee said, and recommended that a psychologist assist in the interrogation.

She said the girl's mother was not at her home and could not be located.

The scenario would seem plausible and the actions of the police highly commendable.

It is a very sad situation whatever the reasons are behind it and I hope with the right attention this girl can turn her life around.

Man Arrested in Kidnap Case.

A further update on the story which began on Monday this week with a 16 year old Thai girl claiming to have been kidnapped and raped by a gang operating out of Bangkok. She later changed her story and said she had gone willingly with just one man to a house just outside Pattaya and engaged in consensual sex. She then claimed that when she wanted to return home to Bangkok the man held her against her will. She escaped and spun a great story worthy of any Thai soap opera before finally admitting to skeptical police she had been lying, a most unusual trait for a young Thai lady.

Acting on information, police issued an arrest warrant for a 30-year-old Thai man who works as a taxi motorcyclist in Yannawa in Bangkok. On Saturday, police from Banglamung supported by Bangkok officers located the alleged offender and arrested him on charges of having sexual relations with a minor.

The arrested man was brought to the court house in Pattaya and is now under lock and key awaiting further legal proceedings. It will now be up to the court to decide just who is telling the truth in this strange tale.

At 16yo she is over the age of consent for consensual sex and therefore technically not a minor either. A deprivation of liberty charge would stick better.

But with the changes of story by the girl, it is unlikely that any charge would stick.

This looks similar to a case being reported in the Bangkok Post. Is there the usual difference in ways of reporting the same case here or are they two different stories?

The girl was in a van that was transporting drugs, and she got paranoid did not want to busted with the others so did a runner and pleaded rape to explain her absence from home. After investigation it turned out she was in line to be prosecuted for making a false statement to police. Not sure of the final outcome there.
