Sanook Thai Caption: Attack on woman

A video doing the rounds of Thai social media showed the apparent aftermath of an attack on a woman who was then dumped into a Soluna car and driven off.

The roadside attack occurred just 50 meters from a police booth but no one was there.

Now a report has been filed by the daughter of the victim saying the person responsible is her mother's new man.

After the appeal was posted the poster said they had tried to report it but there were no cops about.

It happened about midday near a gas station in Wiset Chaichan district of Ang Thong, central Thailand.

Witness Thanakrit, 51, told Sanook he saw the man hit the woman then started filming. He couldn't find any police to tell about it after the car sped off so he posted on Facebook instead.

The victim's daughter Netikarn, 25, said her mum Kingkaew, 43, was attacked by a man called Yai.

After the attack she went home and had clearly been badly beaten. The daughter filed a complaint with police with the clip as evidence.

There is so much violence in the Land of Smiles. Stories of serious assault every day. I suppose when so many are so poorly educated they don't know any other way to respond than with violence. Add to that, so many boys are not disciplined when young and think they can do whatever they like. Thai culture.

Well at least the bar is not set very high for older farang men who want to join the dating pool here.  I am surprised that more of the profiles of 40 something women on Thai Friendly don't include:

I am just looking for a man who does not beat the <deleted> out of me.

That's what they actually mean by "want man have good heart " ????
