goldenbrwn1
Hi I am flying to the U.K. London, final destination in England. Am I right in thinking I no longer need a pcr pre flight? I know it’s not required to enter England but my questioned is more aimed at Thai airways as I can imagine there may well be some hoops…. Btw fully vaccinated with all required documents from arrival into Thailand a few months ago Thanks . The Fugitive
Will be in the same position myself soon. I understand that there are two requirements 1) The airline's and 2) Any transit Country. Passenger Locator Form is still required as at this time.

Nothing on Thai airways website about pre flight pcr to U.K. . Just mention new rules for U.K. . No pcr on arrival, if double vaxxed and the PLC.

If not I would telephone although the answer you get may not be up-to-date.

I think I will just turn up a few hours earlier than usual for my flight . I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a lot less hassle to leave than it was to get in a few months ago! I will also email. Will post here if I get a response. ????

I don’t think I need printouts. My vaccine status was fine entering Thailand in pdf format on my phone and we all know how they love paper here. I’m a U.K. citizen and have my NHS vaccine app proof so I expect to be ok UK end.

I will just have to find out on Monday evening. Many thanks for reporting back in order to help others! Unfortunately, that seems to be the standard of customer service in many companies. Telling you to read their FAQ's is insulting. I would argue that as they haven't told you it's necessary then any reasonable person would assume it isn't? As you say, best to allow extra time just in case. Flying is stressful enough (well it is to me) without such uncertainties in addition.

I also called but had only two options of ticket change and booking and after listening to music for 20 mins I gave up. I think you maybe right assuming it isn’t necessary as I’m sure ( hopefully) it would be clear on their web sight. Either way I will post when I’m back in Blighty to let you know ????
Robin
Just flown to UK with Qatar airlines. No requirement for any Covid test at Swampy, but airline checked Passenger locator form at check-in. I had printed copy to show them. On arrival at LHR, no checks on anything, just through passport control as normal. Long lines as normal. When filling in Pax. locator, you only have to tick boxes to say you are vaxed. Nobody asked to see my Thai vax certs. even thought I had copies with me, and the yellow Thai vax passport. My impression was that UK, (LHR) were not very interested, just overwhelmed with early morning arrivals, as always. This was T5, so other terminals might be different. Qatar airlines were very organised; sent me detailed info on UK entry requirements and what I would be allowed to do in UK. last trip to UK, nearly 2 yrs ago, far stricter on seeing pax. locator at LHR. Incidentally, Thai Smile from CEI to BKK did not ask for any proof of vax. or test at check-in.
