Deputy RTP commander calls for continued improvements for next TIP Report at migrant workers seminar

A deputy commander of the Royal Thai Police joined with other senior top brass and representatives from the justice ministry, health ministry, labour department and prosecutors office who were attending a training seminar at le Meridien Hotel Chiang Mai.

 

The 120 participants are attending a training program for investigators and multi-disciplinary teams to increase the efficiency of labor protection for migrants and prevent violations of the labor law that might lead to problems associated with human trafficking. 

 

Launching the training on Monday Pol Gen Roy Ingkhaphairoj called for everyone to pull together to ensure that the next TIP Report (trafficking in persons) showed improvement, reported Daily News

Not to ensure that migrants are protected from abuse and slavery, but to be sure that Thailand doesn't lose face in a foreign report?
