Provinces in Northern Thailand around Chiang Mai open for travellers?

Dear all,

I planned a motorcycle tour around the Golden Triangle Loop: Chiang Mai -> Phayao -> Chiang Rai -> Phu Chi Fah -> Chiang Khong -> Chiang Saen -> Doi Thung -> Doi Mae Salong -> Tha Thon -> Doi Ankhang -> Chiang Dao -> Chiang Mai.

Question: Are the provinces/cities open or not?

Today I read that many provinces around Chiang Mai are just planned to open but not open now for travellers?

Anybody informed about the current situation? Would this trip be possible now or just after the opening (planned around Songkran or later)?

Thanks!

M

I don't think any areas are closed, or have been for very long time, if they ever were.  Surely nothing that would stop you from traveling around.

I don't think you'll have any issues, except for the fact you're planning to tour during the HOT season.  We had some great touring weather earlier this year, but it's gonna be a bit warmer around Songkran.????

Plan and gear up with the weather in mind.
