Cambodia has vaccinated 46.37 percent of the estimated 610,730 children in the three to four year age group with the COVID-19 vaccine as of March 20, since the campaign started on February 23 this year. Thus far, an estimated 283,222 have received their first dose and are now awaiting sufficient time to lapse before going for their second dose, which is four weeks from the first dose.

Secretary of State for the Ministry of Health, Dr Or Vandine told the media on March 14 that the gap between the first and second doses for children from 3 to 4 years old is four weeks after the first dose.

“I have already explained and it has been published. Therefore, I would like to reiterate that the interval [for children below from 3 to 4 years old] from the first dose to the second dose should be at least 28 days or 4 weeks,” the Secretary of State said.
