BANGKOK, March 24 (TNA) – People must wait 120 days after the legalization of cannabis or until June 9 before growing cannabis plants at home, according to Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul.

Opening an academic conference on medical cannabis in Bung Kan province, Mr Anutin who is also a deputy prime minister said he promoted cannabis as a cash crop because it could be used for medical purposes and all parts of cannabis plants could be food ingredients.

In 2022, despite COVID-19 situations, there was very high demand for products made from cannabis and hemp in the country and they led to the circulation of over 7 billion baht in the national economic system, he said.

Nearly anything green on the planet can be safely consumed but that doesn't mean it's food.

As for the rest of his wet dream, well, that's all in his head, tucked cheek to jowl with the rest of his pipe dreams.

A previous GF was from Loei on the border with Laos. Pot is a rather accepted ingredient in area cooking, no bring deal.

Cash crop means that people will be able to sell it legally.

Are there any restrictions on who can grow and who can buy?

June .........of which year ?

It will never happen.  They'll just keep throwing people into jail.  The average Somchai isn't going to be allow to grow cannabis.  They'll be so many rules to make it unrealistic especially as they go around tossing grandmothers who drink medicinal marijuana tea into prison.

Hahaha... the average SE Asian has been growing cannabis for centuries, if not millenia.
