NONTHABURI, (TNA) – The manager of late actress Nida “Tangmo” Patcharaveerapong admitted that she made a false statement on wine consumption but insisted she had never said Tangmo had urinated in the stern of their speedboat before the actress fell overboard and drowned. .

The manager, Idsarin “Gatick” Juthasuksawat, was interrogated for over three hours. Afterwards she had a press conference together with former MP Sira Jenjaka in front of the Muang Nonthaburi police station, the questioning venue.

As Gatick's advisor, Mr Sira said she confessed completely and it was still not too late for the four other speedboat companions to tell the truth. Gatick was always cooperative but she was only once misled by a lawyer in the first place, Mr Sira said. He identified the lawyer only as “M”.

Wow.  If she wasn't hanging off the back of the boat to pee and fell off, that does raise some questions...

Why do they have to lie.

It was harmless, excessive drinking. Refusing to tell the truth is childish.

Is it saving face or just lacking education, or both?

I've had to put up with this nonsense in the workplace over the years, it's time wasting and dangerous.

Slowly slowly the truth will out !

It’s always someone else’s fault. They must teach this in the schools.

Hard for any Thai I have ever known including my GF's daughter who is half Thai and Half Burmese, it seems to be ingrained.  You can watch them do something, like throw a wrapper on the ground, then say to them "Are you going to pick it up and throw it in the trash can which is just to your left?" to which the reply is normally "That's not mine I did not throw it on the ground".....Even when confronted by a video they are shown, they still lie and deny.
