Daily News reported on the arrest of a 29 year old Pakistani man for fraud in relation to a Bitcoin transaction.

The Pakistani man is now in custody after an arrest warrant for fraud was issued in Phuket.

He was involved in a Bitcoin deal for Thai baht and he is alleged to have provided a customer with a fake bank transfer slip for 10 million baht.

Police suspected he would flee the kingdom and were waiting for him after he flew from Phuket to Bangkok.

The suspect was taken back to Phuket denying some aspects of the case against him.

Wow... A Pakistani......Quality Crypto Tourist.

Must have stolen from someone with some clout for the police to put in so much effort.

Or the BiB was offered a ‘finders fee’…

If this were a murder if a migrant worker the response would have been negligible - no potential profit, which is a sad example of how I see the BiB here in Thailand.

You would think that someone would check the balance on their account considering it's so easy these days with phone banking, sms alerts, etc.

And he really did try to exit via the airport...
