PHUKET: The Southern Meteorological Center (West Coast) issued a regional weather warning for Southwestern Thailand at 10 am today as the southwest monsoon weather takes hold over the Andaman Sea.

The office warned of heavy rains in Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket and Trang today and tomorrow, with a risk of flash floods.

All ships are advised to proceed with caution today and tomorrow as wave heights of two to three meters are likely in the upper Andaman Sea.
