Twenty five officers from the Bang Khen station in northern Bangkok carried out a practice drill at a hospital in the area.

They had set up a scenario whereby two rival groups converged on the hospital after two injured people were taken there.

Armed with their poles and hooks the police soon had the miscreants in the back of a pick-up heading for the station.

The practice followed many incidents in recent months in Thailand's hospitals.

Staff and people at the hospital were informed in advance of the drill to avoid scaring the public.

No one was hurt, reported Siam Rath

Looks like they are trying to scare all projected future covid patients who may try to access hospitals after this Songkran run!!

Oh dear.

They should practice between them and arrest everyone.
Probably most of them have some "baggage".

I watched one of these training exercises once in Kanchanaburi...it was laughable, more like foreplay than learning how to handle a threatening, violent or drugged up individual.

I used to work for the police back in the UK and their training drills were much more realistic and I'd wager sometimes old scores were being settled looking at some of the scraps taking place between officers.

Yeah, that´s a reality drill. 25 police to take care of two guys.

Thankfully no trousers were split in the exercises.

All that care in putting them down and then they chuck them in the unsafest police transport they have - someone must have got a good pay off taking the police van money and giving them metal poles and a pick up

(Early UK TV series)

Surely they would not transport them in the load bed of a pickup truck, that is illegal. Clearly this was staged for the camera.....????

What's the fat bloke with the phone doing?

They've blown their budget on Teslas and BMW smart cars for picking up illegal immigrants.

Those poles and hooks look really dangerous.

I would be less fearful of a taser.

"Don't hook me Bro!"

“Thai police show their moves in practice drill…” Visions of a Chinese fire drill come to mind.

As pathetic  as  ever.
