i am interested in acquiring a boat to live on and prefer being south of pattaya but close enough for convenience.are there any marinas in jomtien beach southward and what would the average monthly slip rate be?is the water at jomtien beach clean enough for swimming and fishing for the table and if not how far south must one go to have clean water?does anyone else live on a boat and what are the advantages and disadvantages?

There's only one Marina South of Pattaya which is Ocean Marina.

I paid 16,600 Baht/month for a 72 feet yacht, additionally 60,000 Baht/year in membership fees.

If you're not a member the slip fees are exactly double price.

Also, they specifically state that nobody can live on the boat while in the marina, although they do allow a full time boatboy to be on the boat to keep an eye on it...
