2long
Does this figure include (or exclude) chaining boats to bridges to help the flow out to sea.... because a few boats are stronger than the moon's gravity, as we all know!
mikebike
Funny how that happens to cities built below sea level...

Gottfrid
Yes, and just add a couple of millions more, as Bangkok is the only city in the country. Yesterday, i read they cut the budget for water in NE Thailand. <deleted>!

ikke1959
they better spend the money for real solutions instead of solving the problem after floodings... Prevention is always better and cost less...

Sydebolle
For that money you get a lot of water down the river, don't you think so? Makes dethroned Prime Minister Yingluck's appearance wearing Burberry boots back in the day not only cheap but also more fashionable and gave the electorate a good laugh ???? rickudon
That works out as about 5 million pounds a year. Considering how prone to flooding Bangkok is, they are not spending enough. And no grand plan, just haphazard local works, pumping and draining water to the next district ...... he who has the biggest pump wins!

Trust me, the stuff worn by Yingluck was not from Mahboonkrong - those were originals bought in a fancy boutique in Milan, Paris or London .........
