Social media group Ban Dung Update in Udon Thani, NE Thailand, were contacted after a Siberian Husky was shot with a dart in Ban Jan.

 

The dart pierced the three year old dog's leg narrowly missing a main artery, according to a vet. 

 

The site are appealing for help in contacting the owner and published a phone number - 087 950 7331.

 

The animal went whimpering and hobbling for help into a factory yard after it was shot but there was no owner to be seen, reported Siam Rath.

People here love Siberian Husky'.....they have no understanding that these dogs are bred for ice conditions....not 35+ Thai heat.

That this animal was hit with a dart...maybe from an air-soft, is irrelevant....people are dopey!

Huskies are known for their ability to adapt to any climate, including those ranging from below 75 degrees Fahrenheit to climates such as South Florida and other tropical places. However, just because your dog can adapt to a hotter temperature doesn't mean that you have nothing to worry about.

why was it wandered about? 

Trendy must have dog and not cheap so why is it wandering about? We had a St Bernard near us, panting all day in the owners yard, it did not last long!

I have five rescued Soi Dogs that love being indoors especially the kitchen.  Really love the Air Con, just like the wife.

Always have a laugh at the dogs hanging out in front of the 711 nearby, everybody has to work their way around them as they cool off with the aircon.

Maybe someone got tired of someone elses uncontrolled dog roaming around the neighbourhood. Maybe it ate one chicken too many!

Some would say it got what it deserved. 

So many dog owners do not understand ‘responsible dog ownership’ . However in Thailand the example set by the authorities with Soi dogs sets the bar very low…

If there are vet bills to pay , they might not find

the owner coming forward..

JUST WHAT I DO !!!

I have Thai neighbours having Siberian huskies as pets. What do they eat? It is expensive to feed them ?

dogs like this and other good dogs should be micro chipped.......
