Wednesday June 20, 2007

The cabinet yesterday approved in principle an additional budget of 500 million baht for the Tourism Authority of Thailand to promote the tourism industry over the rest of the year.

It said that the funds should be used mainly to attract more foreign tourists from declining markets, including Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia.

They could issue pasties with the TAT logo to go-go dancers, keeping the dancers "legal" and helping to clean up Bangkok's image. The promotion could be called "Tit for TAT".

Just a thought...a bit bored here at the moment.

Most probably 450 million will be scammed by the concerned parties and their relations who run PR firms, ad agencies, media or event companies and the remaining 50 million for the officials to make road trips to these markets to promote Amazing Thailand!
