Phuket – Fruit vendors at the monkey viewpoint at Koh Siray say less tourists and locals have visited and bought fruits for monkeys and the vendors put the blame on monkeypox, even though it isn’t monkeys responsible for the current spread of the disease globally.

 

The Phuket Express reporters visited the Monkey Viewpoint at Koh Sirey in Rassada, Mueang Phuket district yesterday. There are about 200 monkeys at the viewpoint near a mangrove forest.

 

Fruit vendors told the Phuket Express, “There are fewer people buying fruit for monkeys in the past week.

Bobby Davies trying to stop the misinformation about the spread of monkey pox is correct.

It is spread by "close contact" there is nothing closer than two people having sex, so be it homosexual or straight, that is where the highest risk of contracting it is.
