David Beckham Image In Bangkok Temple

Featured Replies

I've never heard of this image at Wat Pariwas but apparently it's a tourist attraction now:

I wonder if he knows about it? He is currently in Thailand (or was the other day). Maybe he'll visit :o

Looks like he hasn't quite masterd the art of the squat toilet :o

Thats about it :D

I saw something about this on English TV about 4 years ago, where exactly in Bangers is this Temple??

I went to this temple a year or so ago and some bloke pointed this out to me, I thought he was joking at first!! madness.

It's hard to imagine that it's really him, I find it difficult to believe that this would be put on a sacred image. What/who are the other figures around the base?

I read on this page that the Beckham statue has actually been there since 2000. Pretty crappy reporting from the BBC if so as their report makes out it was installed to coincide with Beckham's visit

Can anyone give me exact directions to where Wat Pariwas is located? I've checked my 3 maps of Bangkok and hunted on Google but its location doesn't come up anywhere.

Thanks!

yeah and elvis is alive and well running a bar in pattaya

"Football has become a religion and has millions of followers," the temple's senior monk, Chan Theerapunyo"

ERRRRMMMMM (we also like to have the odd gamble, you know, only for fun like nothing serious) :o

It just so weird.. what has he got to do with the temple? Perhap it's the idea of the person who sponsor for the building of temple. Just not right
