Zen
Hi Some companies offer "Transportation Allowance" and "Mobile Phone" for their sales staff. What would be a reasonable average monthly "allowance" provided to an ordinary sales executive in Bangkok for petrol and mobile phone? Supposing this sales executive does not go to other provinces for work. Thanks!
jdinasia
my partner used to get between 4k and 6k a month for a car allowance and the company just paid his mobile phone bill monthly (it is either that ot buy a phone for an employee and restrict it to business use only ... and if they lose it .. buy another etc.) I could see the car allowwance going MUCH higher than that if the employee was in sales AND drove customers anywhere. teejay
Just one reply? Aren't there like 1000 expats on TV on huge 200k+ expat packages? Surely they must have a say or is the transporation allowance such a pittance that they can't' be bothered? b.s.
thaihome
Transportation allowance is 800 USD a month; that pays for new Fortuner and driver(with OT). Mobile phone billed directly to company. The bill us usually around 5k baht a month, but can go up over 20k if out of the country for extended time. Prudent_rabbit
Typically companies provide a milage allowance, 7.5 baht per km being about the norm, plus tolls. Phone allowances are 2 to 3000 baht a month, some companies want to see actual phone bills, some just pay it out
bendix
As mentioned, my place just pays out a mileage allowance based on km travelled. No specific mobile phone allowance - my bills are paid in full upon receipt by the company.
