Chollada, 21, had been visiting Wat Chong Lom in the eastern seaboard province with her husband. She needed to go back to the car to get her kid's blanket and left her purse on a table. When she came back it was gone and CCTV revealed the thief was a motorcycle taxi rider with the #1 on his jacket. This was when the police were informed and a monk - who knew the victim - joined in the chase on the back of a local's bike. Wutthichai, 38, was apprehended on Sukprayoon Road in Phanat Nikhom district. Four thousand baht and a phone were rcovered. But the lady's purse containing her Thai ID was missing. Wutthichai said nothing and was taken away to the Muang Chonburi police station for prosecution.
