Have a venetian blind but it's still not providing much block out.

 

Probably need to get a blind for outside which will be under cover.

In Australia, had the electric roller blinds which were great for sun and noise.

 

I haven't seen them here in Thailand.

TBF, I haven't had a good look.

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can get them here in Bangkok I think but can't remember the place.

Search for Roll-a-doors or garage automatic doors. The blinds I saw were on such a site, they built the garage and window mechanical shutters.

KSS and Somfy both supply all sorts of motorized external roller shutters and screens.

 

I am also looking into this option for our new build.

One window must have a crank operation facility, so incase you shutter lock your house all down for the night and you have a power failure and fire, you can get out.

You can get blinds that are silver on one side that are extremely effective

An added benefit of having motorized external roller shutters and screens is security.
