BANGKOK, Sept 1 (TNA) – The Royal Irrigation Department warned people in 11 provinces of the rising level of the Chao Phraya River as it will increase the discharge rate of the Chao Phraya barrage on Sept 4.

Prapit Chanma, director-general of the department, wrote to the governors of 11 provinces in the Chao Phraya river basin and relevant organizations, asking them to warn people living near Chao Phraya and Noi rivers to monitor water levels closely because his department had to increase the discharge rate of the Chao Phraya barrage in Chai Nat province as the Chao Phraya River was receiving water at a faster flow rate from the North.

On Sept 4, the discharge rate at the Chao Phraya barrage will be 1,800-2,000 cubic meters per second.

It would really help if the article or it's links listed them!

We are not exactly being flooded with the relevant information!

Any province along the Chao Praya is in danger not really necessary to list them.

Living in Pathum Thani we are used to the river flooding every year at this time.

Anyone living along the river is used to it.

Those of us in Rangsit can only hope that the city does not lock and close its canals like in 2011.

Most people know if they are in a low lying area.. but it would be useful if they had a web-site which gave accurate and timely information which is easily accessed and updated.
