Sri Racha — A 92-year-old impaired monk was burned to death after a fire gutted a temple in Sri Racha.

Firefighters and Sawang Prateep rescue services rushed to the Rai Kluay temple in the Surasak subdistrict of Sri Racha on Friday September 2nd, after being notified that a massive fire had erupted and was engulfing a monk’s parsonage with an elderly monk trapped inside.

The parsonage was a two-storey, half-timbered building. It had already been covered in a blaze by the time of the firefighters’ arrival. The fire was reportedly too fierce and eventually burned down the entire house before the firefighters could put it out.

Rest In Peace

Sad, but goes to show the deathtraps here extend far beyond the nightclubs.

Wow, sorry to read this.

Mostly  they die from smoke before the fire gets them. I hope that's the case here.

He went to sleep & never woke up.

It happened to my elderly neighbor 25 years ago.
