A group of ninth-graders reportedly raced bikes in Sri Racha before one crashed into a power pole and died on the spot.

Pol. Capt. Rachan Chaiphin from the Nongkham police station on Monday, September 5th, rushed to assist a severely injured ninth-grader who had hit his head with a footpath after his bike crashed and fell in Sri Racha.

The accident scene was on Bueng-Pattaya Road in the Bueng subdistrict. Pol. Capt. Racha arrived to see the young victim (15) lying in a pool of blood on the street flanked by his mourning parents.

RIP.  Sad for parents and siblings.  But if you play the risky games, you takes your chances.  And it's still Darwin that always wins eventually.

Even a helmet wouldn't save you with a direct hit on a pole like that.  He may well have broken his neck, in addition to cracking his skull.

IMO The Police hardly "rushed" if the young lads parents were already at the scene. Very sad, RIP young man.

RIP, just a kid. However motocy's racing at night are a pain in the a s s, let alone dangerous for road users. I wish there was a noise suppression craze, what a charm that would be.
