BANGKOK (NNT) - A training program for online and digital media usage is now being held to improve the effectiveness of state agencies’ public relations efforts. Emphasis is being placed on rapid and accurate content delivery as well as easy to understand language.

Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Anucha Nakasai chaired the launch of a training program on digital media and communications. The training is being attended by state agency personnel from 20 ministries. The Public Relations Department is holding the training in its capacity as a member of the national subcommittee on public relations personnel development. The training is aimed at improving state agencies’ capacity and efficiency in conducting public relations via online media.

The training, which lasts from today to Wednesday, involves theoretical as well as practical sessions. Training is conducted by instructors who are experienced in the communications, marketing, and online public relations fields. Trainees learn about laying down strategies for online public relations and selecting online platforms. They also learn to designate the tools that are to be used for public relations and engage in practical training. Upon completion of training, participants will be able to select the medium which is appropriate and produce content that responds to their requirements.

Improving state agencies’ public relations capacities is in line with the prime minister’s policy calling for more proactive public relations on the part of public agencies. The goal of this policy is to enable the correct understanding of various matters to be reached with the public in a timely manner.

I'm, glad I'm retired and away from this kind of relentless bull meetings and training programs, that's highlights were usually the tea and biscuit breaks and  lunch time sandwiches !

I guess we all remember the good days before this rubbish took over our workplace
