Thai Rath reported on a grisly accident that happened around 6 pm in Bangkok's rush hour yesterday.

An earth carrying truck hit a motorcycle and the pillion passenger - Supranee, aged about 50-55 - fell under the wheels and had her head crushed.

The driver just drove off towards Rangsit.

It happened near the Saphan Mai market on Pahonyothin Road outbound.

The rider of the motorcycle, Amporn, 60, appealed to the press for help in tracking down the trucker.

He wanted to know how a truck was on the roads during the rush hour.

A report suggested that the trucker stopped about 200-300 meters from the accident where he got out and looked at his vehicle.

He then continued on his way.

He was tall and thin and aged about 25-30.

Another report suggested he had just been to a construction site near Big C in Saphan Mai.

Poh Teck Tung rescue took the body of the victim to Bhumibol Hospital before it was released to relatives.

Police are looking for the driver of the truck.

By far the most aggressive and dangerous vehicles, usually driven by whacked out lunies, on Thai roads.

Most heaps of <deleted>....no exhausts...cheap tires or recaps and nearly all go as fast as possible.

If as the post mentions, he may have stopped and checked his vehicle, then he knew what happened....however, motorcycles do have a tendency to ride close to trucks on the left hand side...
