Daily News Thai Caption: Copy Cat Farang Movie Killer!

 

Daily News described the scene as chilling for hardened newshounds as a Bangkok area killer coolly admitted how he had dismembered his girlfriend's body and buried the pieces under the expressway.

 

Charnwit "Don" Wongsahak, 35, was arrested after the death of 30 year old Oranan "Phim" Narathorn.

 

Don cut up Phim into seven pieces in a rented room in Sukhumvit Road Soi 115 in Samut Prakan. 

 

He used a sharp knife, an axe and a saw.

 

He then took all the bits dumping the tools in the Bang Khuat canal and burying Phim under the Chalong Rat expressway along Prasert Manukij Road in Bangkok. 

 

The media reported that the couple were real estate sales people who had been together for two years often meeting for liaisons at the condo room where the crime occurred. 

 

The suspect said that he had seen the techniques for cutting up a human body in a farang or western movie and used this to help him dismember the body of his girlfriend.

Man Arrested for Murdering Woman, Dismembering and Burying Corpse

 

 

SAMUT PRAKAN, Oct 3 (TNA) – A man was arrested for murdering a girlfriend who recently knew he already had a wife. Police said he chopped her body and buried its pieces under an expressway.

 

The 35-year-old man identified only as Charnwit aka Don was arrested when he returned to his room after burying the body of Oranant aka Pin, 30.

 

 

Deputy national police chief Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn said the man already had a wife but had relationship with the victim. After the victim learned that he had a wife, she broke up with him. The man then planned to kill her two months in advance and dug her grave a month earlier.

Anybody care to hazard a guess as to what movie he might be alluding to? Can't think of any movies, per se, which graphically depict the dismembering of a body, although I can think of a few true crime documentaries from which he might have picked up a few ideas.

 

Edit:

BTW, admitting to the police where he got the idea on how to cut up the body is not the same thing as trying to deflect responsibility or culpability for the crime.

Yes indeed. Very strange.

The wife must be thinking she had a lucky escape there.

He actually told them all the details? After planning it for two months? Seems they broke him quickly or someone else knew.
