Thailand will officially enter winter on Saturday, October 29th, two weeks later than usual, the Thai Meteorological Department reported on Wednesday, October 26th.

Winter season is expected to last until the end of February 2023, according to the officials, and will be colder than last year. The average minimum temperature in upper Thailand is expected to be about 20 degrees Celsius with the coldest period from December 2022 to January 2023.

In northern and northeastern Thailand, the lowest temperature is expected to be about 8-9 degrees Celsius.

We live in the lucky country as Europe may be freezing this winter and America may have restrictions on heating oil. The weather here is one of the reasons most of us moved here so lets enjoy a little cool weather with the heat.

It started the other week when i had to wear a long sleeve shirt it was so cold

the first cold spell came to bangkok on 15th October, but rains stopped sometimes earlier, at the beginning of month.

so I am surprised on what data they are working on

Yaroo - break out the blankets.

Log fire at the ready.

Morning wombat , I am considering putting the lining back in my motorcycle jacket.

Looking forward to some cooler weather....however, that means the locals will be burning anything and everything they can get their hands.....the AQ will be horrendous.

I've had to dig my vests out as well.

So are you here or not?

Incidentally, seasonal rates are always set out in advance, not at the whim of meteorological depts.

I have lived here for over 18 years and still here
