Daily News Thai Caption: Unseen Thailand

Daily News called it "Unseen Thailand" but ASEAN NOW's news team thinks "Amazing Thailand" is nearer the mark.

The media reported on a social media post that was going viral that concerned a road in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand, where the central and side road markings didn't join up.

It was in Mae Rim.

Some netizens thought it was photo-shopped.

But the locals said it had been like that for years.

And the local authority didn't have the budget to fix it.

Must have been laid by someone either with a sense of humor or cockeyed nd myopic worker...

Netizens won't be happy, cue tourist numbers to soar for FB selfie's.

It doesnt really matter does it, Thais  dont know the meaning of  many road signs,  and lines,  my Mrs.  as an example thinks  painted road markings are to  make the road  look  more beautiful...

My insurance were called to an acccident i was involved in,  the other party  didnt stop at a painted stop sign, hence the collision.......i pointed  that out to the insurance  who said...  via translation  "road painting always make problem" !!!

They spent it all on ornamental lamp posts.

Perhaps that's the only thing.

Who worries about lines on the roads in  Thailand?

My opinion after 8 years driving in Thailand is  very few .

Just a waste of paint
