Criminal association charges will be filed against those involved in cheating during the examination for admission to police academies for non-commissioned officers of the 5th and 9th provincial police bureaus, said Pol Gen Damrongsak Kittipraphat, the national police chief, today (Tuesday).

He said that police are investigating connections between the two admission examinations, because the same method forcheating was used in both. Some questions were leaked and their answers were distributed by the cheating gang to applicants who were willing to pay for them, adding that those who provided the answers are very knowledgeable and worked fast.

He also said that the same group might be involved in the cheating in both admission exams.

They have an admissions exam? I thought the only requirement to be a Thai policeman was a detectable heartbeat and a relative on the force.

I thought corruption started at the top not the bottom..

Look for the "knowledgable" supplier of the answers to the exam questions. He is probably at the top.

It's an internal job.

I would have thought having a conviction for being involved in cheating/corruption at an entry level would be an indicator for a quick promotion upwards

Police cadets cheating? Well heck, hire them. They are obviously qualified and ready to fit right in. Real "team players".

So the students that cheated get a slap....the cops that implemented the cheating...for money or whatever...don't get slapped!

While this batch of cheaters got found out....hundreds of other cops that "passed"...are out there....and have learnt that corruption works

The parents should be culpable...

And bottom line is 65 plus fatalities daily.

Always on CCTV.

But no boys on the beat..

Thailand should have a disclaimer warning...

Compulsory insurance cover on entry.

Not one of the government agencies promoting it.

But a genuine home country policy with real life (death) payouts.

Got that off my chest...

Still doesn't fix anything...
