Pheu Thai to knock back skyrocketing electricity costs hitting business with a 21% rise in 2023

The Chairman of the Pheu Thai Party policy committee, Mr Prommin Lertsuridejm made the statement on Thursday as energy officials confirmed a 21% hike in electricity costs for businesses to come into effect in January 2023.


The business sector, in recent months, is expressing higher confidence with the return of foreign tourism at critical levels but is expecting to be left reeling by a 21% hike in electricity tariffs due to kick in from January 2023.

Phuket most popular holiday spot in Thailand for foreign tourists this year

Data from Thailand’s tourism ministry shows that Phuket was the most popular destination with foreign tourists during the first 10 months of 2022. Nation Thailand reports that the island has also generated nearly 128 billion baht in tourism revenue, the highest in the country.

Colder weather forecast for most of Thailand for next four days

Temperatures are forecast to fall by another 6-8oC in the north and north-east and by 3-5oC in the eastern and central regions, including Bangkok and its peripherals, from tomorrow until Tuesday, according to the Meteorological Department.

Tuhao Investigation Treated As Special Case
