December 26, 20223 yr Popular Post Recently I wanted to clean up the edges of an aluminium profile. I thought I used a file. But somehow, I produced just more edges. And then I googled the problem, and I discovered a deburring tool. It's nothing new, but it was new to me. And it works great. Here is what I bought, with some extra blades. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/i330986739-s635796630.html And here is a how-to video: Which tools did you discover which you didn't know existed?
December 26, 20223 yr Yeah, when you come across an engineering problem you can pretty much guarantee someone has developed a tool to deal with it ???? Often the hardest bit is working out what the thing is called. A "de-burring tool" is pretty self-explanatory but what does a "nibbler" do? "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
December 26, 20223 yr Thats the best tool to use from 7 to 10 am, on some big wobbly steel sheets, the day after your neighbour have had a noisy party all night????

December 26, 20223 yr Cut and ream! I heard that some where before. The best tool for that was a pair of Kleins. Edited December 26, 20223 yr by jvs

They have been used in the roofing trade for 50 years or more for cutting steel sheets and steel roof sheets. The German Fein nibbler was the most used and reliable.
