Daily News Thai Caption: Blossom time!

Daily News reported from Beach Road in Pattaya where many cherry blossom trees have been set up for tourists.

Many Thais and foreigners were taking pictures of the Japanese style event in Thailand.

The trees were also adorned in lights giving that "wow factor" to the tourists.

In addition to the popular trees in blossom there are photo opportunities with dolphins, flowers and a dream house too.

It's all happening in Pattaya at New Year.

Well, maybe this would move Pattaya from World's 3rd most disappointing city to ... 2nd? 4th?

Plastic cherry blossom trees?....that'll work!

Sounds a bit tacky, although a few fairy lights and neon  can brighten a place up.

So are they plastic or not ? Durian blossoms next to wow the Chinese.

They are temporary, about 50 yards long and lit up with fairy lights. They are clearly for teenagers and romantics to take selfies under during the new year festivities. a purpose for which they have proved very popular.

Pattaya is high on the list because of the farang females. They do not like the lower bid that is available to men here.

Might look nice during the day, but all the lights at night ... no thanks.  Put those on something ugly to enhance.

Some ground lighting to see the tree at night would be nice, but they aren't Xmas trees.

That's not a photo of the actual item. They aren't really trees. I think they look nice. The teenagers aren't complaining.

ooh look, a grinch ????
