Visa exempt to Non O Retirement dates

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

Aussie, well over 50  married been in and out for years.

Finally retired.

Have the cash in bank for long time .

I entered on 6 Dec and got entry till 19 Jan.

Can I convert in Bueng Kan - home province?

I ask as some of the trails i read say it must be done in Bangkok?

All help appreciated.

Thanks

Yes.

To obtain the non O you will require  TM30 or lease etc.

The immigration office will advise.

If you are applying for non O retirement then you require 800k in Thai bank on day of application.

You will require min 15 days remaining on your current permission of stay when you apply for non O

Seems you entered visa exempt.

With a visa exempt exempt entry you use a TM87 form visa application form instead of a TM86 change of visa status form.

I did the same conversion in Bueng Kan.

No problem.

What documentation did you need in addition to the form ?

Sorry for delayed response.

The officer - very polite and efficient filled in the forms.

I showed

Passport copies.

Bank statement

Photos

Also but not essential:

Wife and marriage ticket

House book

Can use tm30 instead I think.

Took about 40 minutes pick it up in on 16 Jan

Easy and thanks for the inputs which I followed

Thanks, doing the same thing, and have done it 3 years ago. Talked to them today, and they said I could wait until a few days left of my visa exemption, but I know it is 15 days?

15+ days at most offices.

CM 21 days

Think Phuket is 15 business days
