Any way to top up SIM inside router without transferring SIM to a phone?

Featured Replies

Obviously it's going to depend on the service provider. I'm using True and the only ways i know of buying a 4g package are 1) sending the package code as a text, which has to be done on a phone, or 2) buying the package via the true website. The problem with the latter it still requires an OTP which is sent to the SIM you are buying the package for.

Aircard software receives SMS, so that’s hardly an issue. Some also allow you to apply USSD codes.

Yeah I see that now, I only read the topic title.

You may be able to register for True iService, app or web, then susbcribe to a new plan.

Agree some aircard/modem/dongle SW allows one to send/receive SMSes, and initiate USSDs.

If you have another phone with SIM from same operator, you can open app, select "Pay for others" and top-up from app to account of SIM in your router.

doesn't your router provide a web interface for sending USSD commands?

Nice confusion by title saying different from topic
