The Thai government has been eying to gain tax revenues from legalizing gambling businesses, including legal casinos, since last year, Thai media reported. January 12, 20233 yr This should be done years ago, this can actually increase number of tourist. The country has huge loans to pay, this will help the burden faster than wait for their dream of 80 million tourist in 2026 or whenever. If these casino's become for foreigners only, it would save many Thais from loosing all they have.
January 12, 20233 yr Deal with it for goodness' sake. I can't stand this will we/won't we about casinos. There is no issue....allow casinos for 3 years and if there are people harmed by gambling, close them all down.
January 12, 20233 yr The Singapore model seems to be working OK. I suppose the Thai government have looked at the way Singapore introduced casinos and how they operate successfully
