Photo: Thai Rath By Thai Newsroom Reporters THE OPPOSITION BLOC today (Jan.12) advised Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha against possibly dissolving the House of Representatives only to preclude next month’s censure debate. The Pheu Thai, Move Forward and other opposition parties have insisted that Prayut agree to the scheduling of the censure debate without a subsequent vote of confidence for February 1 and not put it off until February 15 as reportedly preferred by his cabinet. Move Forward MP Surachet Praweenwongwut said the censure debate during which the prime minister and other cabinet members could be openly criticised for three to four days in a row might probably be negated by the dissolution of the legislative branch, thus warranting a general election in 60 days.
