Pattaya deputy mayor Manoch Nongyai visited the ongoing pavement development project on the beach side of Pattaya.

The visit took place yesterday, February 16th, at 1:30 PM. Pattaya Deputy Mayor Manoch Nongyai told The Pattaya News that the pavement project is divided into three zones: A, B, and C. The pavement is two kilometers in length, covering the beachside area from the Dusit Curve to Walking Street.

The A zone is one month away from full completion while the B zone is under the start of construction, according to the deputy mayor. He said workers will move on to the C zone only after the A and B zones are fully complete to minimize any impact on pedestrians.

If anything, in this universe, can last an infinite amount of time, it will be Pattaya Beach Reconstruction.

EDIT - I wonder just how much sand a plastic bag drags out to sea every time the tide recedes?

It is a bit late for such considerations!

For all the time I've been here--30+ years, beach road has been a constant source of revenue for whoever's getting the contracts. Road repairs, road expansion, drain pipe project--numerous times, sand replacement project, overhead wires put underground, pavers on beach side footpath installed/pavers on beachside footpath replaced, etc. All done at different times, seems like they can't plan and do projects together. Ask how many naturally grown trees have been cut over the years and substituted with boring stereotype palm trees (a pest plant in some way).

Greedy ignorants.

Blame the tourists who constantly smuggle grains of expensive sand from the beach on the soles of their flip-flops.

It would be good if we had someone in City hall that knew what they were doing

The next stop for the deputy mayor will be to get a long range weather forecast to find out when it will all be gone again ????
