POLICE WERE ENCOURAGED today (Feb.20) to confiscate a building in the heartland of Bangkok allegedly owned by a notorious money-laundering suspect who has turned it into the Ruam Thai Sang Chart headquarters.

60-Year-Old Mother-in-Law Shot to Death by Son-in-law in Chonburi

Chonburi — A son-in-law allegedly shot his elderly mother-in-law in the head, killing her on the spot before escaping. The 60-year-old victim sustained two fatal gunshot wounds: one in her forehead and the other on the bridge of the nose.

The death of a 49-year-old Uyghur asylum-seeker in Thailand has prompted pleas from rights groups to find a humane solution to the plight of around 50 Uyghur men who have been detained for nine years.

SRT Tests Battery-Powered Locomotive

BANGKOK (NNT) - The State Railway of Thailand is testing out the first battery-powered locomotive for operational feasibility and safety. The national railway operator is planning to order 50 more of these engines to haul both passenger and freight trains in the future.

EC Says New Regulation on Party Dissolution Not Aimed at Any Party in Particular

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Election Commission (EC) has asserted its new regulation on political party dissolution is not targeted at any party and was not issued on a whim. The election regulator said the regulation was issued to accommodate a new law forcing justice-related agencies to issue timeframes for completing all justice procedures.
