July 3, 200719 yr Wondering if anyone has ever seen the parks accommodations on Koh Wua Talap... I have read in a few guides that it's possible to rent some bungalows, I checked them out on their site, and I am planning on spending a night there. Is that enough? is there anything to do aside from see the viewpoint on the mountain? Are accommodations decent? is it quiet after the boats leave? how busy does it get... do they sell drinks on the island? Any help greatly appreciated... This seems to be the only beautifully secluded area in the Coast of Thailand for August.... (from Samui at least) Thanks

They do have a camp site where you can sleep in the tent and you must bring all your own stuff beside the tent. Drinks , food and so forth.
July 10, 200718 yr Author Hi Max, Thanks for the info. Would you say it's worth spending the night there in a cabin? is it much more beautiful than samui and surrounding islands? I'm looking for a quiet secluded place with beautiful beach and nature.... BTW if you visit http://www.dnp.go.th/parkreserve/asp/style...id=192&lg=2 and click accomodation you can say the bungalows they offer. Thanks
July 10, 200718 yr I've stayed there back in Mid-March 2004 on a diving expedition. Its a nice set of islands, we stayed in tents not bungalows though. It was really quiet only about 9-10 other foreigners on the island. The weather was fine (just before the hot season). We only stayed for a day and a night and yes, there isn't much to do. The viewpoints (there are about three with easyish access) are splendid but snorkeling and exploring the interior are other activities and at night the bar is opened! The only disappointment are the dive sites. The visibility is poor so don't expect any marvels while you're down there
July 11, 200718 yr Author Thanks for the quick reply.... I'm just looking to relax in a quiet area with the type of beaches you see in post cards, would you say this is what I would find there?
