Health authorities are concerned at reports on social media  questioning the efficacy and safety of mRNA Covid 19 vaccines.


the government says it is committed to ensuring the safety and efficacy of all vaccines, So far 146 million doses had been given, and about 55 million were mRNA vaccines. The most common side-effects were a mild fever or swelling around the injection area. 

 

The Move Forward Party will oppose a vote delaying parts of the Prevention of the Enforced Disappearance act which is due to be deliberated today, The government says it is not ready to implement the act in full due to a shortage of equipment such as cameras and recorders, and has deferred full implementation until October.


Thailand's election commission announced yesterday that more than 52 million Thai citizens over the age of 18 will be eligible to vote in the general election which is due on 7th May.  


A construction worker died yesterday at a site opposite a shopping center at Chatuchak in Bangkok, it’s understood a crane collapsed causing the 30 year old man's death, no other injuries were reported.


Bangkok’s local authority plans to inspect plots of land held by owners who are growing fruit and vegetables in order to avoid paying taxes on empty plots. Local authority The BMA expected to collect around 4 million baht last year but received only 300 thousand. 

 

Thailand's center for air pollution says the haze and pollution will likely get worse before it improves, particularly in the north, while the capital will see higher levels of PM 2.5 fine particles which are currently high and in the red.

China has accused the United States of “endangering” peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait after a US Poseidon maritime patrol and reconnaissance military plane flew over the sensitive waterway yesterday. China claims  sovereign rights and jurisdiction” over the waterway, while Taiwan and the US dispute that, saying it is an international waterway.
