Universal health scheme gold health card holders in Bangkok will be eligible for free medical treatment for 42 uncomplicated and common diseases through a new telemedicine service, according to Rachada Dhnadirek, deputy government spokesperson.

The service will be extended to people whose entitlements are valid in other provinces, but who are living in Bangkok. The telemedicine service is designed to provide easy access to health care for the public, she explained.

To use the service, gold card holders are required to install the “Clicknic” application in their smart phones, click on the “patients with common diseases (NHSO)” banner and complete the information requested about their health problems, their weight and height and then click “seeking consultation”.
