snoop1130
The family of a police officer, who was killed when police stormed his house to end a daylong stand-off last week, are seeking justice from the Office of the Attorney-General (OAG) over what they believe was the police’s heavy-handed handling of the siege. Anuchit Thatkhieo, a lawyer representing the family of Pol Lt-Col Kittikarn Saengboon, told the media today (Monday) that he was assigned by the family to seek justice from Sai Mai police and the OAG, as the family believe that the special operations police who stormed the house might have overreacted. The family pointed out that the house in which Kittikarn had been holed up had sustained many gunshots, with several bullet holes in the back door, as if the police were hunting for a criminal suspect instead of trying to disarm a mentally-troubled man, said Anuchit. Popular Post kidneyw
I thought they were pretty restrained. Maybe it changed when Kittakarn shot a fellow officer in the head, who luckily was wearing a protective helmet. 4 1

Similar to the one who kniefed innocent kids?? If you are Armed and willing to kill, it just fair that threat be eliminated to safeguard innocents. FWIW... Family should have provided help to that troubled person not expect others to face his bullets and not respond back. 6 3

RichardColeman
I'm confused. Why not just turn off the plumbing and wait him out. Can't live too long with no water and food here.

Bangkok Barry
Always someone else's fault in Thailand, isn't it. The mentally-ill gunman was only expressing his opinion about nothing in particular while firing at those who tried to calm the situation.

It is pretty rare for them to fire shots. Edited March 21, 2023 by josephbloggs 1
sammieuk1
Any action from the police is an overreaction people probably missed their lunch because of this ????
BangkokReady
Thai people: We want police reform, we want them to do their job, to act professionally and to protect people. Also Thai people: We want the police to follow Thai culture and spend days "negotiating" with suspects and never harm them. ????

Thai police normally follow the Thai custom of avoiding doing anything that might make anyone angry with you very strictly.
