webfact
BANGKOK, March 28 (TNA) – Hospitals and medical supplies are adequate to cope with the increasing number of patients suffering from hazardous levels of air pollution in northern provinces, said Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul. As the PM2.5 situations are critical in the North, Anutin said he discussed the issue with permanent secretary for public health this morning and confirmed that the ministry was ready to distribute medication and anti-smog masks to at-risk areas. The permanent secretary can make a decision in case of an emergency. Hospitals have dust-free rooms with air purifiers for patients with health conditions related to air pollution. Popular Post koolkarl
Can only hope this guy gets some form of cancer from this toxic air or Thai people stop being so complacent. A pharmacist told me this morning that the Thais are angry on social media but this does nothing. Big business must be depositing large sums in Swiss accounts to continue this horrific burning year after year. 1

Wouldn't it be easier to just stop the burning inside Thai borders? 2 1 1

Poor people cannot afford air purifiers , nor can they escape the smog by going down south for 3vmonths. Big difference. 1

Emdog
I knew it was a good idea for hospitals to hang on to all those ventilators!
Partenavia
ASEAN needs to make a concerted effort to stop this nonsense year after year. Start enforcing some serious jail time for those responsible, and large fines for corporations. It's too late for this year. It's the only way, but we all what will happen.....nothing.
