Rong Klua Market Or Mukdahan

Featured Replies

My sisters in law have several shops at the Night bazaar in Chiang Mai. They sell clothing and backpacks. Many westerners are telling them that the same back pack that buy wholesale for 400 baht is available in vietnam markets for 200 baht retail.

Many internet sites say that many products from vietnam and cambodia are coming into Rong Klua Market and Mukdahan.

Can anyone tell me if either of these two markets have backpacks for sale ? And are the clothes for sale at either of these 2 markets lower priced than the Bangkok markets ?

Also any ideas of products at either of these 2 markets that you think would sell well at the Night Bazaar in Chiang Mai ?

thanks in advance for any information.

No one has been to this market before ?????? I read on another forum that they have real levis for 250 baht. Any other good deals to be had ?

Wolfman, been to Rong Klua and it was cheap.

My wife is from the very nice province of Mukdahan, and I have been there myself many times. During our many visits to Mukdahan Town and the markets there I have personally not seen much to speak of when it comes to clothes and backpacks and such stuff. My wife has informed me that most items there that are imported from Laos, Vietnam and China seem to be kitchen utensils (frying pans, pots, knives, etc), various foods, ceramics and some, mostly low quality, electronic equipment.

I can of course not rule out the possibility that there may be some imported clothes and related goods for sale, but, other than stuff brought up from Bangkok, I don't think they have much of these things in Mukdahan :o .

Best regards

I'll be checking out this Rong Klua market next time i'm up north :o
