According to the Move Forward secretary-general, concerns about the Move Forward-led 8 party coalition  have significantly diminished. He also stated that there is no alternative plan for the coalition government, which has 312 MPs, other than to appoint Mr Pita Lim-jaroen-rat, as prime minister.


Meanwhile Mr Pita met bangkok governor Chad-chart Sitti-punt ahead of the Bangkok Pride Parade which is due to take place on Sunday. 

 

Narcotics police seized 1.2 tonnes of crystal methamphetamine,, and  three vehicles at a house in Songkhla yesterday.


the raid followed reports that a large quantity of drugs was being trafficked from the north to the South, before being smuggled into Malaysia. 


A search of the house found bags containing 900 kilos of crystal meth. And A search of the three  vehicles turned up several bags containing another 300kilos. All were impounded. 


Alleged contract killer Matthew Dupre, wanted for the shooting of a Canadian gangster in Phuket has been extradited to Thailand to face a charge of murder.


Special forces and an air force special operations unit brought Mr dupree back on a special flight from Vancouver.


Mr Dupre is a retired soldier who had spent time in Afghanistan and had worked in the security industry in the Middle East.. 


Mr Dupree is suspected of being involved in the murder of a Canadian criminal jimi Sandhu in Rawai Phuket in February last year.


Another suspect Jean Larkamp died in a plane crash in Canada, leaving Mr Dupree as the primary suspect in this case.

 

The chief of police has instructed officers to investigate drivers of overloaded lorries who are not being arrested, instead they show a sticker to show they have paid a bribe. The police chief said officers found to be involved with the racket would be severely dealt with.

Malaysia's maritime authorities said cannon shells believed to be from World War II have been found on a China-registered bulk carrier ship detained at the weekend for anchoring in its waters without permission.


The discovery comes amid reports this month that two British World War II wrecks off the coast of Malaysia - the HMS Prince of Wales and HMS Repulse were looted, both were sunk by Japanese torpedoes in 1941, just three days after the devastating attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.
