Featured Replies

Hi everyone. Can anyone tell me if they are fully successful in downloading the firmware on this website. It's the first green get link selection. Mine gets some done but then errors like forbidden 403 or failed error. Is  the problem thai internet . I've tried different devices and internet. Someone OS says no problem downloading it.

Try via a VPN and see if that works.

I'll give it a go. I've tinkered with free vpn. Any recommendations on a freebie. Usa vpn on playstore gives an hour and has many usa free servers. The free ones generally have been slow and unreliable. But I'll keep trying.

Try 'TunnelBear' free VPN. I found it quite reliable on the trial period and now have the full package.

I use Proton VPN in Windows 11...  free and has USA and a couple other servers.  It works well for just browsing, downloading a gigabyte of data through it might take a while but it should work.

BTW, AIS is extremely fast depending where you are.  I have AIS in my Samsung S23 and also Ruio 5G home-based routers in my office, and regularly see speeds of 150+ mb/s on both devices, sometimes nearly 200, even on very large files.  Downloaded a 2.3Gb Linux distro the other day in well less than 5 minutes!

About 1250 baht/month for the unlimited plan with the Ruio router.  I'm sitting in a metal portable building, amazed that it still works this quickly.

The link is working just fine for me, no VPN, just AIS 5G router.  Fast!

PM me if you want me to host it for you on either onedrive or google drive so you can download directly.

The link is from a google drive account.

Note that I am downloading from an Incognito Window and not signed into any google account on it, so that is not an issue, anonymous download allowed.

On the PC (not AIS)  the download started. I canceled of course.

Just got a warning from Google that the file is too big for virusscan (3.1 GB).

(I wouldn't touch any custom ROMs with a barge pole)

On my Android mobile (AIS) "strange things" happen.

Get here and no idea how to continue:

Important hint as I was asked which of two Google accounts I want to use.

OP, are you talking about AIS Fiber or AIS 4G or AIS 5G?

Think with that need to provide credit card.  I don't like doing that for more than 1 reason.  One of them is giving companies false hope I will give them money.

Ais 4g. Unlimited 4mb.s is my plan. Most other things work really well. Streaming movie good too.

Forbidden 403 often caused by location Thailand. But after half way? Strange.

A proper VPN doesn't break the bank and worth independent from this specific problem.

I will try the complete download later without and with VPN.

Did the following:

PC, W10 no additional virus scanners or net nannies etc., no VPN, 3BB fiber.

Opened Chrome incognito window ("pure" Chrome installation no extensions/addons).

Get first link, ignore Google warning about big and can not virus scan.

Downloaded.

LIGHTNING fast, around 700 Mbit/s.

So likely mirrored in Thailand.

2,97 GB (3.192.668.552 Bytes)

All fine.

Thanks to n8snail for forwarding this large file to me. I'll surely pass on the good will along the line in society. Have a ripper super tech smooth day all.

As for why I couldn't download original file myself. I guess I'll never know.

I can only say they didn't with me. I might add there was no pressure.
