scubascuba3
i had a DTAC unlimited speed 60gb a month sim, speeds where i live was around 30mbps so on expiry i bought the DTAC 30mbps unlimited data sim. Strangely in the same tablet it struggles to get 5mbps, but if i put in my phone it gets 30mbps. What's the reason for that? I'm thinking it's because the tablet only has 3G and 4G. Phone does show 4G+ sometimes. Strange as the tablet was getting 30mbps no problem previously Edited June 24, 2023 by scubascuba3
NextG
4G+ usually mean Carrier Aggregation. In other words LTE bands being utilised simultaneously. Your tablet might not have that function. Add a full speed day pack to the SIM and then put it in the tablet to see if that makes a difference. They may give priority to full/high speed packages. 1

Must be something different about this sim, previous DTAC sim achieved 30mbps using tablet 4G only. I have both DTAC and AIS sims in my phone now, kinda making the slower AIS redundant Edited June 24, 2023 by scubascuba3
Jingthing
I have the same DTAC Sim plan, recently purchased. I've never had close to 30 in my 4g SIM router. I think 10 max. The 15 DTAC that I first tested with was getting relatively better speeds to the stated limit. But it's actually good enough speed for my needs. Also, it blocks torrents, but OK with a VPN. I'm interested in a 5g sim router but I'm not seeing any that aren't super expensive. I'll keep testing it. I only recently started using it so maybe it'll get better (hope springs eternal). Jingthing
I recall hearing there is a 100 Mbps AIS sim current offer but with a data limit. Can someone point to that offer on Lazada or Shoppee?

It's possible you are just in a lower speed area, rather than a router\phone issue

That's why I bought the annual plan at 30 because the 15 performed pretty well in my location. I don't understand what one DTAC Sim would be OK and another sub par in the SAME location. When I complained, they added a full speed pack to the SIM and the speed improved…. I could get the full 30Mbps whilst outside on my phone. I scrapped the SIM after the month was up. Even though they offered 10GB of full speed for free.
